Acceptable use policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
decomPirate is for learning from software you have the right to analyse and building something new of your own. This policy is part of our terms.
Good uses
- Programs you or your company wrote, own or commissioned — including ones whose source code was lost.
- Software you're licensed to use, analysed to make it work with other software (interoperability), where the law permits that.
- Security research and defensive analysis you're authorised to do.
Not allowed
- Uploading software you don't have the right to analyse.
- Software protected by DRM or copy protection (for example App Store FairPlay-encrypted apps or games with anti-tamper), or any attempt to bypass licensing, activation, DRM or security checks.
- Asking for a copy or clone of someone else's product, or output that reproduces their code, branding, artwork or other protected material.
- Building malware, credential stealers, spyware or anything meant to harm people or systems.
- Extracting personal data, secrets or keys embedded in software that isn't yours.
- Trying to break out of the build sandbox, attack the service, or get around credit and spending limits.
- Creating multiple accounts for extra free credits, or referral abuse.
What happens if this is broken
We may stop a build, delete its output, remove credits obtained by abuse, and suspend or close the account. Where the law requires, we will cooperate with rights holders and authorities.
